Japan’s Lily MedTech Is Creating A Powerful New Tool To Fight Breast Cancer

As populations around the world age, cancer is becoming a more significant burden on many societies. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women and accounted for more than 2 million new cases in 2018, according to the World Health Organization. While survival rates have increased in recent decades, traditional screening methods for breast cancer remain a painful process for many women and are not suited to all patients. One Japanese startup is trying to change that with an innovative technology that could improve the effectiveness of screening.
